Get the Most Out of Your Kit

  1. Purchase one kit per person - even though each kit contains six cookies, the instructions are organized so that each cookie started and then added to as you progress. Sharing kits is not recommended. It will work better if each person has their own kit and then they'll have the satisfaction of having made the complete set.

  2. Allow enough space for each participant - I recommend working on a dining room or kitchen table. A folding table will also work. Allow space similar to what you would need if you were hosting a dinner and you wanted everyone to have a bit of elbow room at the table.

  3. Allow ample time to complete your kit - I recommend allowing 1.5 to 2 hours to complete your kit.

  4. Cover your table with a disposable tablecloth—or one that can easily handle a frosting mishap or two.

  5. Set the mood - play some fun or relaxing music while you're decorating

  6. Each participant will need:

    • A napkin or paper towel for cleaning tools while decorating.

    • Toothpicks or a cookie scribe (you can find these on Amazon)

    • Scissors for cutting an opening in each piping bag (scissors can be shared)

    • A good attitude

    • A tray to put your finished cookies on to complete the drying process (you'll want to keep them uncovered for 24 hours so the icing can fully dry).

  7. Have Fun - If this is your first time decorating cookies they probably won't be perfect, the point is to have fun and to learn. The more you practice, the better you'll get.

  8. Take Pictures - Share them with me on social media. I'd love to see your completed masterpieces.
